We recently had the pleasure of working with Laurie Staiger. As the Woodbury Chamber President she is a very prominent figure in the Woodbury business community.
Needless to say we were so thrilled Laurie and her husband came to us to design an estate plan that addressed their needs and goals.
Because every client is different it’s important to find out what prompted them to take action to create an estate plan, how their experience was working with us, and some fun facts about them personally.
This is what they had to say…
Why did you choose to work with Neyens Law?
I have met Elizabeth several times. Her professionalism, as well as her sense of humor, helped build a great rapport with my husband and me.
Why was designing an estate plan so important to you?
We have two daughters and upon our deaths we want things to be seamless and easy for them to figure out. All of our assets and wishes for them are detailed in one place and can be executed with ease.
What’s something that surprised you about your experience with Neyens Law?
There was so much to think about. If X were to happen, then this is our plan. However, if Y happens, this would be the plan. There are many caveats.
What’s something most people don’t know about you that you are willing to share?
I love to travel and have been able to visit over 30 countries.
What is your favorite family tradition and how did it become a tradition?
On our daughters’ birthdays, they wake up to their bedroom door and the kitchen decorated with streamers. It became a tradition when our eldest daughter turned two and we had decorated her door. She spent more time running through the streamers in her doorway than she did playing with any of her new toys. They are now 13 and 11 and they make sure we don’t forget the streamers!
What sets your business apart?
The willingness of our members to help other members be successful.
What advice do you have for other entrepreneurs?
We are all subject matters in something but are not skilled in other areas. Hire experts and get involved with professional groups, like Chambers of Commerce to learn more in areas outside your expertise.
Where do you find inspiration?
Daily devotionals. My favorite is Jesus Calling. Also hearing stories of success from others.
