Business to Business Spotlight |Anne Lucas: Coldwell Banker Realtor

June 9, 2022 by Elizabeth Neyens

Helping create peace of mind for local entrepreneurs is the icing on the cake for us at Neyens Law. There’s a connection right off the bat working with business owners in our community. Anne provides clients with high quality care when it comes to home buying or selling.

We did a Q & A session with Anne so you could learn more about her experience working with our firm and what sets her apart from other realtors.

Anne & her son

Why did you choose to work with Neyens Law?

Elizabeth and I are both Woodbury Chamber members and have connected on a few occasions. I have also invited her and she has spoken at our Coldwell Banker Woodbury Sales Meeting regarding estate planning

Why was designing an estate plan so important to you?

Designing an estate plan is important to me because I do not want my family to worry too much when I pass on. Having a child with special needs, I believe it is important to understand the nuances of estate planning given this situation.

What’s something that surprised you about your experience with Neyens Law?

One thing that surprised me about Neyens Law is how personable Elizabeth and her staff are. Most law firms I have worked with seem to have an almost impersonal air to them but Elizabeth is someone I know I can work with in an efficient but also personal manner.

What’s something most people don’t know about you that you are willing to share?

Most people do not know I am a bibliophile. I read an average of one book a week and have read a range of non-fiction and fiction books. My favorite book genres are biographies, business, and spy/crime fiction.

What is your favorite family tradition and how did it become a tradition?

My favorite family tradition is putting up our Christmas tree on my birthday. This became a tradition because it was the start of the month and my family wanted to make it a double special-occasion 🙂

What sets your business apart?

The true care I give for my real estate clients is what sets me apart. The service I give them is consistently of high quality not only during the whole home buying or home selling process, but also after closing. My former clients have appreciated the follow-up even months after they’ve closed on their homes.

What advice do you have for other entrepreneurs?

My advice is never to give up. There is a saying by Confucius: ““It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.”. If you need to slow down, do so. If you need help, ask for it. If you need to change your business model, then do so. But do not ever give up on your goals and dreams.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration from many sources. Mostly, I find it from books that I read, especially the biographies and business books. It’s very motivating to see that so many great people have done so many great things and that they have also gone through many sacrifices and trials to get to the summit of their success. I also find inspiration in the many awesome people I meet everyday. They directly (or indirectly) teach me about life and living it to the fullest.
